A luggage trunk, also called a travel trunk, is usually a large rectangular container made to store personal and clothing items. They are most often used for long journeys abroad, like for international boarding school, or lengthy trips away from home. They allow the traveler to keep their possessions secure, while still being able to quickly check them when they arrive at their destination. It has been found that most travelers suffer from anxiety and boredom when not being able to check their baggage in a few minutes. The smaller, more popular trunk lids, however, may also include an emergency escape compartment that offers an added measure of safety when you need to leave the trunk and go someplace else.
Another type of luggage trunk is the side entry trunk. This design is very similar to the side cargo lockers found on trains, airplanes, and trucks, with the exception that the main storage compartment is located on the passenger side of the vehicle. Some trunks will also incorporate an additional, larger main storage compartment on the back of the vehicle, allowing for a more secure storage of the items that you want to bring with you when traveling.
