Whether you’re on your way for business or pleasure, you certainly have a lot to carry as you shift luggage on board airplane, train, bus or car. You need a lightweight, compact luggage belt to organize all your items for easy access and easy storage. You’ll find that many items can be easily cluttered, but the most frequently used items such as check-in materials, shoes, socks, jewelry, laptop etc. will all need a place to be stowed while you move your luggage around.
A good luggage belt is one that can hold the whole weight of your luggage on its own, so there will be no chance of it collapsing and causing damage to your fragile luggage. There are two types of luggage belts available on the market – the quick lacer and full-length type. The quick lacer is much lighter than the full length, so it is easier to use and often the preferred choice for travelers. It is essentially just a strip of leather, metal or plastic that goes around the handle of your suitcase. Some of these handles can be removed to allow for easier access and more room on the bottom of your suitcase. These also have a combination lock so that even if your luggage gets stolen, the combination can still be protected.
The full-length luggage belt is much heavier because it is actually attached to a real suitcase with a strong strap. Once the luggage strap is fastened to your suitcase, you then attach two straps to each side of the case and attach the handle to a separate zippered pocket on both sides (if you have selected a full length model). This model provides a much greater carrying capacity than the previous one, however the drawback is that you have to put the luggage strap through your arms and then across your chest to secure the case. This may cause strain or pain in your arms, shoulders or back.
